Outreach

Oftentimes the most important part of anything us humans do is community. However, on a bike, not only are you reliant on the community around you, you're also simply physically much less separated from those around you. You don't have a big metal box keeping everyone at arms-reach or further. Community is everything in the world of bikes, that's why we're committed to working with, strengthening, and supporting the community groups we love. If you'd like to know more about the things we care deeply about, we'd love to share.

  • Saskatchewan MS Biketour fundraiser.
    • We've provided over $110,000 of in-kind support for the annual event.
  • “Be Like Bruce Triathlon”
    • When Bruce Gordon, a Moe’s coordinator, passed, we remade Moe’s Triathlon into the “Be Like Bruce Triathlon”.
    • Working with Chris Gordon and Lacey Schroeder from 2017 to 2024 we raised over $100,000 for local cancer research.
  • Bike Doctor Detours
    • We founded and sponsor the non-profit cycling club, Bike Doctor Detours.
  • The Pedal Wenches
    • We also founded and sponsor The Pedal Wenches, Saskatoon's all-women’s road cycling club.
  • World Bicycle Relief
    • Helped by the Yuel, Morris, Wyant and Vanderhooft families, as well as World Bicycle Relief and Trek, we've provided over 2,000 Buffalo Bikes to communities in Africa.

Donations

Like any small, community-oriented business, we get donation requests pretty regularly. We strongly believe that every event, organization, and cause out there making positive contributions to our world deserve all the support available to them. Unfortunately it's not always possible to fund every cause we see value in. That's why we want to ensure that we're able to do our best job possible, selecting who's next in our little Bike Doctor spotlight.

If you have something you'd like our support for, please send us a message, and be sure to include any and all relevant details. Most importantly, we need to know things like who you are, where you are, when your next event is, a link to your website, a little detail on what your current funding situation is, and of course, your pitch for why Bike Doctor and you are right for each-other, and what we can do for you.
